Application for Chief markers for the 2019 ATAR course examinations  

General information

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Chief Marker for the 2019 ATAR course practical and written examinations. People who have previously been Chief Markers/Chief Examiners/examiners or have at least five years experience teaching in the relevant course and some experience of marking ATAR course examinations are encouraged to complete an application.

Prior to completing the application, it is important that the following documents are read and understood:

In 2019, online marking of written examinations will continue for the following ATAR courses:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Drama
  • Economics
  • English as an Additional Language or Dialect
  • Geography
  • Human Biology
  • Literature
  • Mathematics Applications
  • Mathematics Methods
  • Mathematics Specialist
  • Modern History
  • Physical Education Studies
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Religion and Life.

Online marking will be introduced for the following ATAR course examination:

  • English

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)

All Chief Markers must have a current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check(NCCHC)and a Screening Clearance Number (SCN). This is issued by the Department of Education.

* You will be advised if you have a current NCCHC or need to apply for one if you are appointed.

Applications must be submitted no later than 5.00 pm on Monday, 25 February 2019.
