Briefing – Science in Practice General unit approval process

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) will deliver a briefing on the unit approval process for the Science in Practice General course. The briefing will be held on Thursday, 26 February 2026 from 3.30–5.30 pm.
The purpose of the briefing is to outline the process and requirements for the approval of school‑developed units for the Science in Practice General course.
The briefing focuses on:
- developing a shared understanding of the requirements for school-developed units
- outlining the process for unit approval.
The briefing is not compulsory and free to attend. Schools are responsible for any costs incurred by attending the workshop.
Note: the Authority uses Webex as the delivery platform for all online briefings, seminars and workshops. Registrants will need to download the application prior to the meeting to participate.
