The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is offering two additional half-day online workshops in November to support schools with familiarisation with the Western Australian Curriculum for Pre-primary to Year 10: The Arts.
These workshops are designed for teachers in remote and regional areas, as well as those who were unable to attend the in-person workshops.
The purpose of these workshops is to:
- familiarise schools with the support materials on the Authority website
- explore the key curriculum changes in detail for specified subjects
- provide activities that guide schools in understanding the new curriculum changes
- provide teaching and learning support.
These are a repeat of the Term 3 online workshops hosted by the Authority.
The Authority will provide teacher relief payments for schools within the school systems/sector for up to two teachers per each half-day workshop in each learning area. A digital presentation pack, which can be used to facilitate professional learning at the school level, will also be sent to participants after the workshop.
Register for a half-day online workshop on the Authority’s Events page at https://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/news-and-events/all-events.
Further information regarding these professional learning opportunities is available at https://k10outline.scsa.wa.edu.au/home/resources/revised-western-australian-curriculum-familiarisation.
Note: the Authority uses Webex as the delivery platform for all online events. Registrants will need to download the application prior to the events to participate.
