All ATAR course written examinations scripts in 2026 will be printed in preparation for marking using an online platform.

The format of all ATAR course written examination papers will have:

• a barcode at the bottom of the front page
• a solid 5 mm square in each corner of the front page
• a unique identifying number printed on every page within the paper
• the margins of each page excluded from the area available for writing and marked with the wording ‘DO NOT WRITE IN THIS AREA AS IT WILL BE CUT OFF’.

It is important to advise students not to use erasable pens, gel pens or pencils. The use of pencils is acceptable for diagrams only.

The front covers of each examination will be available on the School Curriculum and Standards Authority website in August 2026.
