Important dates for changes to enrolments in course units in the Student Information Records System (SIRS) for Years 11 and 12 students are published in the 2026 Activities Schedule. The 2026 Activities Schedule is available at https://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/publications/activities-schedule.

Changes to course enrolment and meeting WACE requirements

Schools must meet the enrolment and withdrawal deadlines published in the 2026 Activities Schedule, as failure to do so may have consequences for students meeting the requirements for achieving the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). Information on meeting requirements is available in Section 7.2 of the WACE Manual 2026 at https://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/publications/wace-manual.

Before a Year 12 student changes their enrolment, schools should encourage them to use the WACE checker available at https://wacechecker.scsa.wa.edu.au. This tool enables students to determine how changes to their enrolment may affect meeting WACE requirements.

  • Final date for changes to ATAR, General, Foundation, Preliminary and VET industry specific courses for Year 12 students

Friday, 15 May 2026

  • Final date for enrolment in year‑long Year 11 courses.

Thursday, 23 July 2026

  • Final date for withdrawal from ATAR courses with a practical examination component or a school-based practical examination assessment (SPEA) for Year 12 students.

Monday, 10 August 2026

  • Final date for withdrawal from ATAR courses without a practical examination component or a SPEA for Year 12 students
  • Final date for withdrawal from General, Foundation, Preliminary and VET industry specific courses for Year 12 students.
