The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is offering online briefings on the unit approval process for the Science in Practice General course.

The purpose of the briefings is to outline the process and requirements for the approval of school‑developed units for the Science in Practice General course.

The dates for the briefings are:

• Thursday, 15 October 2026, 3.30–5.00 pm
• Thursday, 12 November 2026, 8.30–11.00 am
• Thursday, 25 February 2027, 3.30–5.00 pm.

The briefings are not compulsory and are free to attend. Schools are responsible for any costs incurred (for example, teacher relief) by attending the briefing.

Note: the Authority uses Webex as the delivery platform for all online events. Registrants will need to download the application prior to the event to participate.
