All student registrations for Years 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12 must be uploaded to the Student Information Records System (SIRS). Schools are required to complete student registration upload for these year groups by Thursday, 12 February 2026.

Registration and demographic information for all remaining students in Kindergarten, Pre‑primary and Years 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 must be uploaded to SIRS by Thursday, 26 March 2026.

It is important for schools to verify that all students have a Western Australian student number (WASN) prior to uploading the Student Registration and Demographic (SRGDG) files to SIRS.

Section 4 of the Data Procedures Manual available at https://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/publications/data-procedures-manual provides detailed guidance and step-by-step instructions on how to register students in SIRS and how to search for a WASN.

Note: after Thursday, 12 February 2026, it may not be possible for school data to be transferred to the NAPLAN platform in bulk, and schools may need to enter students into the NAPLAN platform manually.
