The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) recognises the significance of its relationships with professional associations across Western Australia. These associations play an important role in supporting schools and teachers in the delivery of high-quality curriculum and assessment.

Professional associations contribute by:

  • providing subject-specific professional learning opportunities
  • offering practical resources and teaching ideas aligned to the curriculum
  • creating networks for teachers to share expertise and collaborate
  • keeping schools informed of current developments in their subject areas.

The Authority encourages schools to connect with relevant professional association/s, as they offer valuable guidance and support that complement the Authority’s work with schools.
