Chief Supervisor applications for 2026 ATAR Course Examinations
Chief Supervisor positions are available for the School Curriculum and Standards Authority’s (the Authority’s) Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) course practical and written examinations 2026.
The Authority is responsible for establishing examination centres to conduct the ATAR course examinations. Over 13 000 students throughout Western Australia and overseas will participate in these examinations.
Examination Logistics is seeking over 300 Chief Supervisors to assist with the conduct of examinations at established examination venues/centres. The Chief Supervisor is a senior role responsible for organising an examination venue/centre and directing a team of supervisors to ensure that the examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with the Authority’s policies and procedures.
Chief Supervisors report to the Manager – Examination Logistics and liaise closely with the Examination Logistics team and school administration staff.
The Chief Supervisor role is suitable for people with previous experience gained within:
- a teaching service environment
- an examination environment in a supervising role
- a managerial/supervisory position.
We will also consider applicants with transferable skills which demonstrate an ability to meet the expectations of this role.

Note: Second‑In‑Charge Supervisor roles for written examinations only are also required to support Chief Supervisors at some examination centres. The number of positions for this role is dependent on the demands of the examination centre.
