Application for marking the OLNA 2020 Round 2 (August - September) - Writing
The School Curriculum and Standards Authority is seeking applications from qualified people who wish to be considered for appointment as markers for the OLNA Writing component. There are two opportunities to mark in August (Year 9) and September (Years 10-12). Markers can elect to participate in one or both assessments.
Training will take place on Saturday, 15 August 2020. Marking will be from Monday 17 August to Friday, 28 August 2020.
This marking will be available for home markers. There will be an opportunity for a small team of experienced markers to mark at home.
Training will take place on Saturday, 5 September 2020. Marking will be from Monday 7 September to Friday, 18 September 2020.
Markers may choose to attend either a day session (8.30 am to 3.00 pm) or an evening session (4:15 pm to 9:00 pm) or at home. Once the marking has begun, markers cannot move between sessions.
Selection is based on the following criteria:
- Relevant qualifications and experience – it is preferred that the applicant has a relevant teaching degree and experience teaching primary literacy or secondary English.
- Previous OLNA marking – accuracy and speed.
- Other previous marking experience e.g. NAPLAN or ATAR course examinations.

Applications for marking close on Monday, 27 July 2020. Only online applications will be accepted.
Markers will be notified about appointments by Monday, 3 August 2020.
