Supervisor applications for 2026 ATAR Course Practical Examinations
Supervisor: practical positions are available for the School Curriculum and Standards Authority’s (the Authority’s) Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) course practical examinations 2026.
The Authority is responsible for establishing examination centres to conduct the ATAR course practical and written examinations. Over 13 000 students throughout Western Australia and overseas will participate in these examinations.
The 2026 Year 12 ATAR course practical examinations are scheduled from: Saturday, 26 September to Sunday, 25 October 2026, inclusive of weekends and public holidays.
During the ATAR course practical examinations, supervisors work in a team to assist their Chief Supervisor and their Chief Marker with ensuring the practical examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with the Authority’s policies and procedures.
The Supervisor: practical role is suitable for people interested in casual work, including university students, retirees and pensioners.
Previous experience within the following environments would beneficial:
- a teaching service environment
- an examination environment in a supervising role.
We will also consider applicants with transferable skills which demonstrate an ability to meet the expectations of this role.

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is collecting personal information on the Authority’s online application system for the purpose of:
- identifying individuals as a new or existing applicants in the Authority’s Student Information Records System (SIRS) and cross checking to ensure that an individual only has one profile in SIRS
- checking that existing personal information is accurate including eligibility to work in Western Australia and status of the applicants National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and Working with Children (WWC) card
- selecting prospective employees based upon qualifications and/or experience, preparing contracts to offer employment as a seasonal causal and creating or updating an employee profile on the Department of Education (DoE) Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS).
Your personal information collected will be disclosed to authorised personnel at the Authority and the Department of Education.
If you choose not to provide your personal information, the Authority will not be able to process your casual appointment application.
