The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is seeking stakeholder feedback on equitable access adjustments (EAA) for students undertaking assessments.

As part of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Refreshment, the Authority’s Board is seeking independent advice on:

  • the parameters the Authority should establish to confirm EAA for students undertaking ATAR course examinations before Year 12, ideally in Year 10
  • appropriate alternatives to the current requirement for a documented medical diagnosis when students seek EAA
  • whether the disabilities listed in the Authority’s EAA Policy and Guidelines should be amended
  • whether the adjustments listed in the EAA Policy and Guidelines should be amended.

The EAA Policy and Guidelines are available at https://senior-secondary.scsa.wa.edu.au/assessment/equitable-access-assessment-policy.

School staff, parents/guardians/carers, current and former students, and other interested community members are invited to complete a short survey to provide feedback on the current EAA Policy and Guidelines.

Please complete the survey via the link on the Authority’s EAA Policy and Guidelines page at https://senior-secondary.scsa.wa.edu.au/assessment/equitable-access-assessment-policy by Monday, 23 November 2026.
