As part of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Refreshment, the Authority’s Board is seeking independent advice on:
- the parameters the Authority should establish to confirm EAA for students undertaking ATAR course examinations before Year 12, ideally in Year 10
- appropriate alternatives to the current requirement for a documented medical diagnosis when students seek EAA
- whether the disabilities listed in the Authority’s EAA Policy and Guidelines should be amended
- whether the adjustments listed in the EAA Policy and Guidelines should be amended.
The EAA Policy and Guidelines are available at https://senior-secondary.scsa.wa.edu.au/assessment/equitable-access-assessment-policy.
School staff, parents/guardians/carers, current and former students, and other interested community members are invited to complete a short survey to provide feedback on the current EAA Policy and Guidelines.
Please complete the survey via the link on the Authority’s EAA Policy and Guidelines page at https://senior-secondary.scsa.wa.edu.au/assessment/equitable-access-assessment-policy by Monday, 23 November 2026.
