Schools are advised the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) has published new Year 10 sample assessment tasks to support the implementation of the Languages curriculum.

Year 6 and Year 7 Moderation 2020

The Board of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) has approved the continuation of Year 6 and Year 7 Moderation and the expansion of the Learning Areas involved in 2020. Please see the table below for a list of the Learning Areas/subjects involved.

To facilitate teacher planning for next year the content for the 2020 common task to be used in moderation will be published on the Authority website at the end of November. The link will be provided through the Authority home page.
Participating schools in 2020 will have the responsibility to consider the curriculum content that will be covered in the moderation task to plan and sequence their teaching and learning accordingly. This will ensure that the relevant prior learning has taken place before the moderation tasks have been administered. Online registration for participation in the moderation will be open to schools in February 2020 with further details in the first circular of the year.
