To support teachers in their implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum for Languages in Year 3, the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is providing an opportunity to engage with best practice in assessment.
A moderation pilot for teachers of Year 3 Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian and Japanese will be conducted. Teachers will have the opportunity to work with Authority’s Principal Consultants for Languages to unpack an assessment task and marking key with a focus on the principles of teaching, learning and assessment. Teachers who wish to participate will be invited to administer the assessment task in Term 3 and attend a moderation workshop toward the end of Term 3 to discuss and develop a shared understanding of the standard.
To register your interest please email standards@scsa.wa.edu.au and include the following information:
- Teacher name
- School name
